Noting that sound

Some times the clock sings out a tune at 6am
though I can’t hear it
it clocks the time I really should be heading somewhere gentle
though I don’t feel it
I sight the note from a thought in a room
over in a place
where I can’t sense it

Some times the mind says something I can’t seem to see
though I can’t abide it
it thinks the thoughts of a time when I want to wander
though I sometimes think it
I grant myself the notion to be on the hour, each time
though I’m not aware of it
especially in the park
